All ships calling at Narvik harbor must submit a call notification.

The information should be sent to Port of Narvik by e-mail, hvakt@narvikhavn.no, at the latest on departure Narvik harbour district. If e-mail is not available, notification can be received by maritime operations by telephone, (+47) 769 50 375. Failure to report will result in legal consequences.

The reporting service SafeSeaNet Norway

The reporting service SafeSeaNet Norway is a web-based system where ship traffic can report mandatory arrival and departure information to Norwegian authorities and ports. The Norwegian Coastal Administration develops and operates SafeSeaNet Norway as a joint national reporting portal for shipping.

Ship waste

Ship call at Narvik harbour, and which do not have an agreement for the delivery of waste in another fixed port, must pay a fee.

The number of days is calculated as the number of days started from the vessel leaving the previous port (delivery possibility) until the vessel leaves the berth in the Narvik harbour district.

The minimum rate is equivalent to 2 days.

Ships wishing to deliver oily waste must give advance notice, and a tanker or tank barge must be ordered. For such delivery, the actual expenses are paid in addition to the above-mentioned rates.

Cruise and marine vessels report the need for bins prior to arrival these bins will be put on placed for each call.
